ABOUT
At Sonoaura, we bring artistic vision to life. Our in-house team provides a complete, integrated service — from sound engineering, mixing and music production to videography and content creation — making us a true bespoke, one-stop creative partner.
We hold ourselves to the highest artistic and technical standards, working alongside accomplished musicians from the jazz and classical worlds, many of whom trained at leading conservatories. For larger projects, instead of relying on conventional studios, we record in carefully selected churches chosen for their exceptional acoustics, quietness, and accessibility. Due to our extensive experience in location recordings, our team is able to capture performances with depth and authenticity without the reliance of a large recording studio.
Yet Sonoaura is much more than a production house; we are a creative community. A home for musicians, filmmakers, photographers, and artists alike. Through curated events and inspired collaborations, we connect people across disciplines, creating opportunities to share ideas and turn bold concepts into reality.
Whether you are producing a film soundtrack, recording an album, or seeking to be a part of our creative network, Sonoaura guides projects from the first spark of an idea to the final master — unwaveringly and with artistry, integrity and imagination at the core.
If you wish to work with us, we’d love to hear from you.

ETHAN
LIEBER
FOUNDER/PRODUCER
Ethan studied composition and piano at the Royal College of Music, where he developed a strong understanding of both the creative and practical sides of music-making. Having experience as both a composer and a performer, he knows how important it is to have reliable musicians and engineers who can bring a piece to life with clarity and care.
He also understands how important it is for today's artists to have high-quality, original content to promote themselves, whether it’s for social media, a portfolio, or getting their work noticed. As an artist himself, he knows that in a time where so much music is shared online, the way your work is presented can make all the difference.
To help with this, Ethan has worked closely with his longtime friend and creative collaborator Finley on a number of projects, producing content not just for his own music, but for other creatives around him. They've known each other since childhood and continue to work together to support creatives in building a clear and compelling artistic identity.
Since 2019, he’s been working closely with senior engineer Ignacio, building a great working relationship and assisting him on a wide range of sessions over the past five years. Together, they’ve worked on recordings with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Tenebrae Choir, Chineke! Orchestra, and many others.
Ethan has also organised and led several larger projects, including overseeing the sound and music for the film Watercolours. Through Sonoaura, he combines his musical background with hands-on recording experience to help creatives make recordings they can trust and be proud of.
FINLEY
ROWLAND

VIDEOGRAPHER
Finley Rowland is an award-winning filmmaker who studied Film and Television at the University of Bristol. He has worked on film sets including The Running Man, Killer Heat, and commercials for Google, McDonald’s, and Amazon, as well as directing his own films Watercolours and Bound Apart. Through these experiences, he has developed both creative and practical expertise across all aspects of filmmaking.

His areas of specialty include directing, camerawork, and editing — giving him a comprehensive understanding of the filmmaking process and enabling him to achieve the best possible outcome in every project.

In film, style is content — but the image is not everything. As a director, Finley works closely with his longtime collaborator Ethan Lieber, who serves as sound recordist, sound designer, composer, and music artist. It was with Ethan that Finley first cultivated his passion and skills in music recording.
At Sonoaura, sound quality is paramount. Thanks to the close working relationship between Finley and Ethan, they have developed an efficient and reliable system that maximizes both video and audio quality without compromise.
Over the years, Finley and Ethan have continued to push the boundaries of filmmaking, creating state-of-the-art works using virtual reality. Their aim is not only to deliver exceptional, convention-defying productions but also to create recordings that stand as lasting contributions to film and music history.

To record something is to immortalise a moment — which is why, through Sonoaura, Finley records each piece with the highest care that each musician can be proud of. Not just their life but beyond.
